Red Persian Patchwork Vintage Rug – PM/A/19/120

* This rug is an example of what I offer. Please enquire about current stock to see availability”.

A really unique and creative way to recycle worn-out handmade vintage wool rugs! Old and antique rugs are bought in every province of Iran, washed thoroughly and the parts which are beyond use are cut out. The remainder are sewn together with parts from other types of rugs to create unique woven wool patchwork floor furnishings which impart an interesting modern looking rug well suited to more contemporary homes.

These are the ultimate shabby chic purchase but because they are vintage rugs with little or no pile a suitable underlay should always be used. Do not use in a heavily used room.

Available from about 8’x10′ up to 12’x16′. Custom sizes are available to order with an upcharge in price.

This example of a Persian patchwork wool rug has beautiful soft rust and black tones along with the fascinating variety of different rug designs sewn together to form the whole. No two are ever the same so you buy uniqueness every time!

Please use your rug with a suitable underlay which will protect the back of the knots and allow dirt to fall through the rug. Vacuum sparingly, once a week is sufficient, and do so on a low power and without the rotating brush, as this strips the pile. Clean professionally at least once every five years. Turn your rug every year if possible to even out footfall patterns and sun fading. Never leave your rug undisturbed under furniture in the dark. Keep a moth trap in the room if possible.
